‘Compassion’ is one of the ‘Four Immesurables,’ the Tibetan vow one makes to help others; a reminder to pray for all beings so that they may be “free from suffering and the causes of suffering” and to show kindness to all. This 18k gold disc is engraved with ‘Karuna’ or ‘Compassion in Tibetan with the English translation on the back and measures approximately 3/8 of an inch in diameter. It hangs with a tiny lotus leaf and a faceted yellow sapphire bead on 16 inches of 18k gold chain with a spring ring closure.
