Inspired by the beauty of the natural world, Designer Robin Renzi has created a collection of some of her most favorite shells that she has found from beaches as close as Long Island and as far away as India. One side is covered in 99.9% fine silver through the unique technique of electroforming while the other exposes the natural beauty of each shell.
A vibrant orange Zig Zag Scallop shell was tossed by the sea, and only this fragment remains. Measuring 7/8 x ½ this shell has vertical ridges, radial with a slight arch, ranging from dark coral tones, to salmon, yellow and white. Its back side is smoothly coated in fine silver through the process of Electroforming. Another shell given new shape by the sea hangs beside it. A Spiny Box Shell measuring 3/8 x 3/8 accompanies it, dotted pink lines follow a curve, tracing the memory of tall spikes worn down by the sea. Its back is coated in fine silver like a small tea cup. A 1 x ¼ hand carved Fossilized Walrus Ivory leaf completes the trio. The three charms hang on a fine recycled sterling silver 18” chain with a lobster closure.
