These shells were picked on a blue beach, in Kennebunkport in northern Maine, full of stones and broken shells. White accents brightened by the late summer sun, cast at an enchanting angle onto beaches of Maine. It’s these places that ignite inspiration, and drive us to create these one of a kind shell necklaces that transport you to another place, feeling warm in the mist of cool blue waves.
A big Abalone slice is the center of this shell necklace. Super iridescent, with shades of minty green, and lavender pink, warm light reflecting gold in its surface, against a white grey pearlescent background, this fragment is mesmerizing. Measuring 1 3/8” x ¾”, its backside is extremely textured, coated in fine silver through the process of Electroforming, like something from space! A small purple blue clam shell hangs nearby, measuring 5/8 x ½, it is matte in contrast, banded with dark blues and a soft white spot. Shimmering like a droplet of liquid metal, hangs a 3/8 x 3/16 Keshi Pearl, a blue white grey treasure. The final charm is a large and iconic Sterling Silver Leaf measuring 1 3/8” x ¼”. The four charms hang on a fine recycled sterling silver 18” chain with a lobster closure.
