18K Gold Fossilized Mammoth Ivory Cross Pendant with Ruby

The cross is one of the oldest and most universal of all symbols, said to protect against evil and be a source of strength and faith. A hand-carved fossilized mammoth ivory cross is adorned with a vibrant faceted ruby, measuring approximately 1 1/4" in length and 3/4" in width. The cross is set in recycled 18K gold and is available on a 17" 18K gold chain with a round lobster clasp. Mammoth Ivory is 10,000 to 20,0000 years old. It is fossilized ivory that is found in the Artic tundra of Alaska, Canada and Siberia.
